*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

I had a tube shoved up my nose to my stomach a few years back. nearest time I ever came to striking a woman. if I wasn't holding on to the chair arms so tight those poor nurses would have needed medical treatment if not a mortician. A PIC line is no fun I'm sure but I wouldn't want Em to get the type of tube inserted I did, at least while she is not under sedation. P.S. I had Morphine in me and that still never helped much.

I have a very high pain tolerance and the nurses made me promise before they inserted the tube not to hurt them, and they where really shocked I never fought back (they almost fell over when it was over the way they acted because apperantly ALL patients fought back some and caused at least bruises before it was over) and never really tried to move in such a way to prevent them from doing their job (trust me they could tell it took all I had to try to move as little as I did in reaction to the pain). I told them they were luck I was in a strong built chair because if it wasn't they would have ended up with a chair arm against the head and not intentionally!

The tube surgically inserted directly through the abdominal wall into the stomach... Or in Em's case right below the stomach so that she can't barf up any of the food being pumped in is much better than the tube you got.

Oddly enough.. The tube that is threaded down like what you had.. Comes with a higher aspiration risk, and other complications... More possible issues than surgically inserting one through the abdominal wall. :idunno Go figure.

They are debating. They don't want to insert anything else, because they have no idea what the blood infection is, or where it came from. Before I leave, they have to do something, because I cannot go home with nothing, risks or not. I'm in isolation, and everyone has to wear these weird suits before they come in.

Seriously. "We have no idea what's going on, but you're sorta semi-stable, and apparently conscious, so we're sending you home. See you in a couple of days when you fall apart again; maybe we'll have some answers by then."

Do we have doctors in the Kingdom, or have they escaped again?

I can't believe they can't find out what kind of infection this is. I bet you've had oodles of blood drawn too. Strange. What in the world are they thinking, or even thinking about sending you home? Are they thinking? You have them very confused. Did you tell them that you are from a certain Kingdom? Maybe that will help them out a bit.
Serious. Hope you get figured out lady bug.

Em have they called in an infectious disease doctor? if so does the doctor also have an infectious disease certification? Mt father needed a speciallist once and because of some issues one doctor thought was possibly going on he called in one that had both sepecilties it's somewhat rare to get both but by having both they are brought in usually on tough or strange cases. Yours may be both tough and strange, at least tough......

There's an infectious disease team, and OB team, and a surgical team, and a couple others. I'm not really sure. They sent me home Monday, and I was back Saturday night. So far, they haven't even mentioned sending me home. I guess since they have figured out it is their fault I'm in this shape in the first place. Im in a lot of pain, so drifting in and out still. At least they have figured out the diarrhea.
