Well, they figured out the infection. Now we are arguing with the OB on call about another picc. She wants me to go through this with no PICC, no tubes, nothing. Impossible. I'll be back in a week.

Why they don't see your inability to eat properly as a problem.... Is TOTALLY beyond me.

I still want you on the tube... You could get lots of good nutrition and fluid that way... And keep your bowels working like they should.

She isn't my doctor. She's just the attending physician. The infectious disease doctor didn't seem to have a problem with another PICC. We will talk to the doctors some more, but leaving here without any sort of fluids or food intervention is too big a risk for me.
