My girls can handle themselves. We are pretty lucky though, the one who is old enough to date has zero interest in doing so. And I'm not gonna encourage it!

That was/is my daughter. A tongue sharp as a razor, and she goes for the vital organs. In grade school a boy was mocking my daughter about not being very 'developed'. She stared pointedly just below his belt buckle and said, "You're not showing much either." Kid never messed with her after that.

Well, I'll chime in here. Some things hit a little closer to home.

Never no secret, I love my baby girl. Apple of my eye and all that
Daddy stuff. Well, she got herself pregant this year. Don't ask me
how. I don't have a clue.

I was far from happy about that.

But now I do have a still brand new gran daughter, just turned five
months old.

The one bright spot of the whole year, and I wasn't real happy about
it at the time.

Iv been there. All I can say , is none if my disappointment in my daughter for her action, kept me from fully and unconditionally loving and enjoying the grandbaby.

One of the few times I put my foot down.

My daughter will always remember how we reacted.

Oh I won't go into all that went down in the BertS household.

It was a quiet place for a few months.

Takes a but to get chit right in my head. Know what was important. Me being mad, feeling betrayed and hurt, not important. That little one? WAY IMPORTANT!!

Forgave my daughter easily.

For my actions and words, I am still working on not beating myself up about.
