OK, so the magnolia blossoms are goners - that I know, but what about the daffodils. They are all limp and dangling. Will they come back up if things warm up? Low 20's wacked everything. There's an orchard we go by on our way to Sunday breakfast and the peach trees were in full bloom. Hope they survive to set fruit.
Daffs have built-in antifreeze. They often wind up hugging the ground for warmth and coming back up when things get warmer; not sure about low 20's, though. I fear the peaches are frosted.
Orchard is planted on a pretty good grade. Wonder if air movement from bottom to top may have saved the blossoms? That really hot weather last week really messed up things. As you well know it's been a crazy winter and spring.
