Spring ? I have moved all vulnerable plants into the house for the night. Planter boxes on the front porch contain pansies and dahlias. The pansies will be fine, but the dahlias -----------

That is why the tossing of petals is so perfect.

All of the dead flowers can be put to use... and you can pretend that there was no death... and that spring is here.

Oh, are you going to be getting snow, too, sourland? We'll be getting some here in Maine tonight... I guess that it's a good thing that I haven't planted anything in the garden yet.

I find that opening the windows and letting in the fresh scent of the outside makes it seem like spring.
