1d3, welcome back.

I've missed you. Can't wait for the grandchildren to come visit and then can't wait for them to pack up and go home. Does that make me bad or just a crotchety old man? Bob a lot is practicing for the moat swim - perhaps we should rename her bobber.

The moat never freezes. I think that the castle resides in a permanent late spring early summer environ. At least that's how it should be.

I wish it was late spring/early summer here!!! We haven't even had a big measurable snowfall yet, and I'm already tired of the winter!!!! lol

My grandbabies are 22 months and 6 months. I loved having them here. I wish they hadn't left but I know they all needed to be with my son. At least he got stationed somewhat near me!! He's been assigned to Fort Benning, GA. So I can at least go visit every now and then. Yay!!

Does Bob a lot have a red suit and a white cap?? If so, Bobber would be appropriate!! I loved putting those things on my fishing line!! I need to take Mini fishing this summer....see if she can get past the "ewwwwww" of putting the bait on the hook...

I think it would be torture for her since she is a girly girl....I don't know where she got it from! Not me!!! I'm a jeans, t-shirt, old ratty tennis shoes type person! I only dress up for funerals....except mine...nope, no dress for me when I pass on....I want to be cremated and my ashes spread over the mountains where I live. Ugghhhhh!!! how maudlin!!! on to better subjects!!!!

I noticed there was quite a bit of "sparklieness" going on while I was away.... Kinda glad I missed it...

And Sour, will you at least give Ebob a chance?? He might not be THAT bad of a younger....At least he is a younger that appreciates the value of hard work...at least from what he's posted.... What am I saying????? Throw him in the moat!!!

How many times have I been the one that told you to stay away from the moats with Sour? And what about his potato salad I warned you about??? I mean, geesh!!!

But on a serious note, I have been struggling with major anger issues since Friday. I've been questioning my faith, angry over such a thing happening, and holding Mini every chance I get. She dressed in the school colors of Sandy Hook today for school. One of the kids in her class (when I helped her carry her stuff in due to her wrist being in a very long splint) asked her why she was in green and white, Mini looked at her and said (I got teared up when I heard her) "I am wearing these colors in memory of the 20 children in CT that went to be with Jesus on Friday. They do not deserve to be forgotten." You know, she drives me nuts at times, but then she totally blows me away when she makes a statement like that. Her teacher came over, hugged her, and told her she was right and they were going to have a discussion in class about what happened Friday and how to prepare in the event it happened here. I was like "WHAT???" But I understand. Anyway, sorry I got off on another subject..
