This is the notorious "hijack thread," the crown jewel of Em's Kingdom. Sourland would tell you that this thread is the "Hotel California" of threads. Someone once described it as "the cool table at the asylum." What happens on this thread makes sense to us, but not all of the time, nor to all of us at the same time.

And for some reason, I showed up and everybody else left. I'd get a complex about it, but who could tell the difference?
