This is one of those situation where you'd have to have heard the inflection. Sarcasm he does; disingenuous - not so much. He really doesn't remember. The dog that was always getting attacked by bees he remembers; his wife blowing up like a balloon after getting stung? Nope! He knows I used to keep two different kinds of Benadryl in the first aid kit, but he doesn't remember why.
