*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

The Queen of Soul doesn't put me to sleep, that's for sure, but nor does she linger.

Last night, Baby

noticed that Critter was hobbling a bit as he walked down the hall. "I'll be fine, as long as your mother doesn't get out her hoof pick," he said. I looked at him in consternation. "I've seen you!" he said. "Anything starts limping around here, you grab your hoof pick." Having just spent several days soaking Sunny's hoof twice a day (probable abscess, now resolved) I had to agree, he had a point . . . .

It's getting bad, isn't it?

" . . . . and Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii will always love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii will always. . . ."

That's why I didn't even post a link to it.

Though "I Will Always Love You" probably gained its highest level of popularity when Whitney sang it, the song was written by Dolly Parton in the early 70's for her friend and business partner Porter Wagoner. Though she later sang it in "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," the song was originally about the breakup of her business association with Wagoner; sometimes it's Dolly's voice in my head. Nosing around BYC, I have come across the names of posters I haven't heard from in a long time recently; maybe I'm just being sentimental?

What about "don't worry, be happy"? i HATE that song...and it likes to hang around once it has wormed its way in.

I just heard this one last night, really loved it..this man was talented..not every one is or was crazy over him, I actually wasn't one to go crazy for him, but when I heard him sing this when he was so ill with his addiction, I was touched.

Hey, Alaskan, 'Don't worry - be happy." This is the Kingdom. Or at least it once was.

Visited my son and his family yesterday - 3 + hour drive each way.

After two days at a field trial plus driving there , my butt is bouncing on the hardtop.

Our son will turn 50 next year - midlife crisis alert! He has decided that he will run a marathon during his 50th year. He's been to the doctor for a physical, bought the running shoes and some kind of watch, set up a training schedule -

- he's been a couch potato his entire life. He belongs in the Kingdom.
