*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

I have a suspicion that fixing the door handle would be cheaper still . . . . .

Actually, this business sounds rather familiar. Critter is pretty good about fixing things that don't work right on my vehicle, but his own? Not so much. He's like, "oh, I don't really need that," or "it works well enough for what I do." He used to drive a truck that had a passenger-side window that didn't open, a dead front seat, a non-functioning AC, a key switch that would turn without the key, a door latch that only worked with the key, half of the paint missing and a couple other quirks that I can't remember at the moment.

What's that hubby? You want to borrow my car to go visit your brother, and leave me that one to drive today? Why should I have a problem with that?

Sometimes I really think somethings are just "a man" thing.

Because it works for them they think it should work for anybody.

You are right.

I can open the door from the outside, just gotta stick my arm out and grab the outside handle. The wipers work fine as long as you stick your hand out the window and give them a lil jerk to get them started. I know the right front headlight doesn't come on with the switch, but if the switch is on, a sharp hit on the very bottom of the light with the side of your fist gets it to come on right away. The seat belt latch on the driver's side doesn't work, but jeez, if you see a cop looking at you it will snap into the center latch just as well. If you push the tailgate inwards BEFORE you pull the latch it opens pretty much all the time. The power locks work, but I don't have a key that will open the doors, so I just leave the keys in the truck. But if you steal MY truck... well, you're a pretty poor thief... probably outta think about getting into another line of work.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If you get stuck in the truck again Hon, I keep a book in the glove box. (be careful opening it, the door's broke and everything sorta falls out if you aren't careful), just lean the passenger seat back (might want to lean it back sorta slow, the latch is broke) and just enjoy a good relaxing read. The dome light works if you wiggle the switch a little.

I'll come looking for you if you aren't home when you should be.

Oh, I almost forgot!

DON'T DRIVE MY TRUCK LIKE A DANG RACE CAR!!!!

You might scratch it or something.
