I have a suspicion that fixing the door handle would be cheaper still . . . . .
Actually, this business sounds rather familiar. Critter is pretty good about fixing things that don't work right on my vehicle, but his own? Not so much. He's like, "oh, I don't really need that," or "it works well enough for what I do." He used to drive a truck that had a passenger-side window that didn't open, a dead front seat, a non-functioning AC, a key switch that would turn without the key, a door latch that only worked with the key, half of the paint missing and a couple other quirks that I can't remember at the moment.
What's that hubby? You want to borrow my car to go visit your brother, and leave me that one to drive today? Why should I have a problem with that?
