*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

The guy that we bought this property from used it as a shooting range for his gun club in the 60's. They brought all manner of glass things here to shoot. I have found fragments of art glass, depression glass; all manner of glass containers. I have found a few items intact; most recently, a Troutman's cough syrup bottle and an Old Spice aftershave bottle. Nearly every day I scan the more well-traveled parts of the property, and I usually quit when I have as much glass as I can carry. I haven't had to haul anyone in for stitches yet, but you go barefoot here at your peril!

Our yard has been some sort of dumping ground 50 years ago, when digging around I keep finding all kinds of interesting things. We took away a trash bag of glass, porcelain and metal when we planted three bushes. And the chicken like to bathe by my compost, they dig out a couple of shards of glass every week.

You know that your old if you understand what the song is referring to "I blew out a flip-flop I stepped on a pop-top"...... Kids these days have never seen a pop top like what was referred to, Our dear queen may be too young to remember, altho she is close to the age she might have seen some on beer cans that was using those type pull off tabs after sodas stopped using them......

It's five o'clock somewhere. Only 26 minutes to go here. But I'm at work. so I'll have to wait. Til tomorrow. But it's only 50o here too so not quite flip flop weather. For me anyway.
