*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

Got to see lots of silliness last night. At one point, we thought maybe we should do a sobriety test on folks before we allowed them to enter the livestock tent . . . .

Lucky for some there were no sobriety tests at the gates. Our fair doesn't sell alcohol but they do conduct testing at various points outside the gates. It's a big week for many to imbibe.

With all of the towns having festvals and all of the county fairs around here the regularly sets up sobriety check points as well. Would I say Northwest Ohio likes a good brew or drink? Hmmm. ;) Then there are those of us who can't handle our liquor so we don't. We are the Designated Driver.

The official position is that drunk and disorderly conduct isn't tolerated, of course, and I did see a group of sheriff's deputies approach a group and after a brief discussion, escort them off the fairgrounds . . . . Most of these folks were just feeling a little too good for their own good, if you know what I mean.

I would guess that's usualy the official view on drunk and disorderly. Some places have a little higher tolerance or maybe definition of disorderly. But todays laws are much stricter on driving under the influence. And that's a good thing. :thumbsup

My mom is still in ICU, and I have a Fall Festival petting zoo I'll be running all weekend...so be back soon. Mom seems to be improving, but I sure am tired.
