*sigh* I'm loosing my touch. (Warning: Hi-jacked by Em)

I will ask him about that. I did it with Lily and it didn't help, but I'll try anything at this point.

As far as the IV, a lot of women with HG report the same thing. They think it might be the fluctuating hormone levels? Nobody knows. I just know it works.

As far as sucking on the lozenges...I can't use them everyday, but some mornings are better than others. Nights always suck

The first Alaskan was the worst.... managed not to get hospitalized, but could only eat and drink for about 4 hours a day... the rest of the time had to be spent almost completely motionless.

The rest of the Alaskans weren't as bad... but there was lots of not moving.

The last two months with Lily I was on total bed rest.

I was in the hospital a total of 17 times. THIS time, I am determined not to be in the hospital. I don't know if I can meet that goal, but I'm gonna try.

For me, morning sickness was pretty much manageable - not like, "nausea? What nausea?" but I could function is an upright fashion at least some parts of most days. The thing that got in my way the most was the Braxton Hicks contractions. For me, they started almost on day 1. I could generally stop them by lying down, though it might take hours for them to completely go away. I don't know how many times I wound up calling Critter on his cell phone and telling him, "if you want dinner tonight, you'll have to bring it home with you; it seems I can't achieve verticality again."

One of my biggest enemies was fat. We ate a lot of salads . . . . .(no surprise that, right?)

When I heard a story about a restaurant whose Eggplant Parmesan had a legendary reputation for inducing labor in women that were near or past their due dates, my reaction was, "how can any pregnant woman even stand to be in the same room with that stuff?"
