!) I had four out and nothing else pipped when I went to bed. I was worried that that was all I was going to get. I woke up to two more out and one more almost done zipping. I guess they are going to take turns so each gets it's moment in the spotlight. I only have one RIR chick out. It hatched from a tiny pullet egg. It was almost a large wind egg, but not quite. It was one of the first out and is a tenacious little thing. I may have to pull it out as it runs around pecking at the umbi stumps of all the others.....the little cuss.

12 eggs in lockdown...I'm not sure how many I have in the 'bator. Then there's 30 waiting to go into the 'bator.

Went out today and walked around, the ducks are swimming in that new pond I made...They sure seem to be enjoying it. Anybody need a pond built? Thinking about going into business for myself here.

Last night was the 'full worm moon'. Did you know that? I didn't, and I have been dancing the March moon for a lifetime.

Today we went to the cemetery to plant flowers on the in-laws grave. Everyone on the road appeared to have a death wish - full moon madness - fine if that is your goal, but do not try to take us with you! I really could have used a drink, but that is NOT allowed.

Nope, no monsters. Native Americans named the full moons of each month. 'Full worm moon' was also known as 'rising sap moon' and 'full crow moon'. Names varied from region to region and were based on natural happenings.

edited because I couldn't remember 'full crow moon'.

Not to be confused with "Old Crow Moon," I assume.

That phrase really bothers me, especially knowing how you like to do your full moon dance
