@room onthebroom Thanks for the vote of confidence. It's not a message that many folks (especially young, especially female) want to hear. They are like, "what about me? Don't my feelings count?" But of course, that's completely missing the point. The point is treating the other person as if they and their feelings are more important to you than you are. As long as both people are doing that, whether one is the driver or the passenger hardly matters; they both know that they are valued and loved. I think a lot of marriages go bad when at least one spouse isn't a team player, and fails to acknowledge and appreciate what the other one does. Not everyone can be a superstar; there's no shame in taking a supportive role. It's when you feel unappreciated and disrespected that frustration and resentment start poisoning the mix - and that's true for a lot of things.
