Well, I wish I could claim the clean mind (rather??!), but I suspect it is more a case of a lack of exposure to that particular material. Just how much exposure I have had has been brought home by one of DD's online friends. He's 14, (eeks!!) has the worst case of Flirtyitis I have ever seen, and a fondness for decidedly un-family friendly material. He also has an astonishing ability to disguise it in symbolic language that leaves poor DD blindsided. She knows something's going on, she just doesn't know what (she's 11). I'm left with a choice between forbidding her to play on the server with him, or explaining the jokes (and letting her decide whether she really wants to expose herself to this sort of thing). Of course, if she wants to play online multiplayer games, she's going to run into that kind of humor left, right, and sideways. Sometimes, watching a bright kid growing up gets painful.
