Signs of Spring?

Here in Alaska, there are very definite signs of Spring... the sudden appearance of:

1) muddy pawprints everywhere

2) new rock chips in your windshield

3) bikers in those yummy leather chaps

4) campers/motorhomes on the highways

5) "outside" license plates

and last but not least ...
6) "CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP!" sounds every time you go to the feed store or walk past your incubator

What's a sure sign that Spring is in the air in your part of the world?

roadside stands with heirloom plants for sale

clothes back out on the line

the noise of the neighbor's lawnmower

lots of bird song

For me its spring when you can hear the peepers in the country. I love the sound of all the frogs. Its such a relaxing sound. There are many other signs of spring but I like that part the most.

Its spring when I start wearing flip-flops (if you ask my friends when its spring by that they'll say "What winter? Its always spring in Kurts mind").

for me it's spring when you smell it . just one morning one goes out and you can just feel that spring has come

When you are done with chores and it's still light outside.

you know spring has arrived in Hawaii:

when all the whales start migrating to the islands
swells start coming in from the south
the rainbows are more plentiful throughout the day
the stores are wiped out of seeds to start your garden
you see plenty more wild chicks running around with their mamma
the cattle moves down the slopes to lower fields for grazing
and the airlines start running alot of specials out of Hawaii to other destinations.
