My son just read that and said she is a "poser", who is trying to give off the impression she is someone of value and is obviously a cheap imitation of a human herself. He said go hug your mother.

By the way, what was your brother doing all this time? She's his momma too and he needs to step up and knock this crap off!

WOW! He IS very sharp. He's not wrong. She grew up very poor and seems to run and hide from it. We didn't have money either, but could pay the bills by focusing on family rather than material possessions. We're far better off as adults, but respect the times when they were tough. It's just a matter of perception. I KNOW what it's like not to have groceries..and I know families and kids go to bed hungry every night....I would never turn my back on them and snub them. Just don't understand what the "shame" is???
 
thanks everyone for validating my "issue." My DH has drawn a hot bubble bath for me...cause he knows when "Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"
