Silence Is Not Golden Here

I bought it from Craig's list to give the single hatch chick a friend. They had it posted as a golden comet pullet but, it has got a red tint comb now and radish brown on its back
So not sure what it isView attachment 1471563
Tractor supply probably had red sexlink left overs and this person bought them. It is probably a Golden Comet rooster.

Here is how she looked as a baby. Kiki was worried she would be a boy.

She isn't white, she is splash. I'm thinking about putting one of my Bantam Cochin/Choc Orp Roos over her.

That is too cute.
I’ve got a ghostly white EE chick, only a week old and no color in the wings yet. I’ve been trying to figure out if it’ll grow up pure white or not.

My muttly chicks are a little too confident. Yesterday they had their first day unsupervised loose in the run. They did so well that I adjusted the pen to give them a dodge-space to get in and out at will. But I also had the run and coop open, to encourage air flow and let the older birds roam at will.

Went out to do evening refills and cleanup, and half the not-quite-three-week-old muttly chicks were fifty feet away from the run, gleefully foraging their way across the property headed for the horse pasture. The others were trying to figure out how to get out of the run to join them. Got them all back in the run...

Went out this morning, and the three young Seramas had climbed into the chick pen - they're the same size as the muttly chicks, so there's just no way to make a crawlspace that one batch could use and not the other. They were sitting on the chick roost, smug as can be, while the chicks were all out rampaging from one end of the run to the other. The larger birds were still in the coop, glowering out the door into the run indignantly.

Lindi seems to be in everyone's good graces.
She was out foraging with the bigs without issue from anyone.
I put her in my banty tractor and my two D'Uccles have little issue with her. My cockerel was even courting her :lau

I do :p. I'm sorry, I'm a HUGE spender.
I wear a $50 cap, a $200 vest, a $90 shirt, $300 shoes, and $350 glasses

Lol. My girlfriend is the same way. Meanwhile, I'm over here with an outfit that cost me less than $15... She recently bought me a pair of $150 shoes for work and I nearly had a heart attack. At least my back doesn't hurt anymore.
