We just had a drought not too long ago. We rarely see rain in this corner of Nebraska anyway, all this rain is so unusual for us! ESPECIALLY in July. There's usually not a drop of water between May and September

Boy all of our national days seem to feature downpours. Canada Day just sucked here in Alberta

Got a suggestion on the coyotes - have him get a llama or three. I've seen a llama chase down and kill large dogs and coyotes that were after lambs before anyone could even begin to get out there with a rifle to do anything about it. The only problem is... they'll also kill any pet dogs that are around. But I've never seen them go after a cat.

Unfortunately they’re not big country people (this isn’t the ranch parents) so that’ll never happen. If it keeps happening I think his neighbor will sit out on their balcony and pop some of them off. For now, the remaining cats are locked indoors.

Well, regardless of the rain and stuff, at least you guys are all enjoying your country's day the right way. On Canada Day, here in Canada we didn't even give our country a thought...we were to busy celebrating this hockey signing:

Same here, but the neighbors either don’t know that or don’t care. Sigh.

Boy I know what you mean. We had a neighbor like that when I had my old shepherd mix, who was very afraid of the noise. Mad me hopping mad. They are so lucky I never could tell which house it was coming from. They're either gone now, or grew up.
