Silence Is Not Golden Here

I love sewing hoping to get back into now both boys are in school full time.
Never caught on to crocheting sadly:(
My college roommate taught me. I was knitting and getting frustrated with it because I had a bad habit of dropping stitches, which isn't an easy thing to fix. So she offered to show me how to crochet which is MUCH easier because you only have to keep track of one loop instead of dozens, or hundreds, depending on the project. Here are some of my projects.

One of the Queen Anne's Lace patterned scarves I made for my bridesmaids.

An afghan I made that was about 4 ft too wide. It was painful to unravel that much.

A dressage saddle pad I made for my sister

A doily

An afghan I started earlier this year, it is half done in this picture. I have the other half of the squares completed, but haven't pieced the other side together yet.

The parasol I made just for my wedding pictures.

This is what it looks like from the top. It is basically a doily made with yarn rather than crochet thread. The pattern is called Lilly of the Valley.

I used to crochet a lot. I would sell my art on bids on eBay. I knew it so well I could literately crochet a scale model of almost everything. I knew all the stitches and techniques by heart

Funny for a guy :lau
That is so cool!
I :bow to you.
You certainly are a jack of most trades.

Once upon a time, unless you had enough money to buy your stockings (and everyone wore stockings)(well, all the Europeans), you had to know how to knit. And Irish fishermen have a long history of knitting their own aran sweaters, with the different stitches having different meanings.
Also, my favorite knitting pattern book is called Knitting with Balls...

It's in my nature :p. I have to master every single thing I get into.

I got into Piano, I had to master it
I got into Cello, I had to master it
I got into skating, I have to master it
I got into crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, etc.
Pics or it didn't happen! ;)
I'll try to retrieve some of them off my old Etsy account or off my old laptop. :p
I know, everyone used to laugh at me cause I was a guy who mastered yarn-works :lau

Hey, I think that's really cool! :)
People think I'm crazy 'cause I'm a girl who's into climbing and parkour stunts. Basic parkour, mind you, but still parkour.
