Silence Is Not Golden Here

I've thought about trying to blow out some of mine so I could use the shells decoratively. Is it difficult?

Not at all. Just use a small drill or pointy object to chip a hole out at each end, or a larger hole at one end. If one end, insert a small tube up to the top of the egg, and blow into it to force air in, so that the contents are forced out. Oh, and stick something in there to scramble everything around before you try to drain it - otherwise the yolk forms a plug. If you opened both ends - maybe an eighth of an inch hole - just blow into the top one to push the contents out the bottom. Go slow so that you don't break more shell, stop every so often to stir up the inside. Then flush water through several times, soap if you want to, and let it dry. You can seal the ends with a little bit of tape or paper and glue, or use a small piece of shell removed from a similarly colored egg.

Doing this! Thanks!

At a restaurant. I swear this happens every time I lose a bird.
