Cyprus, I'm not sure if you have experience with D'Uccles or not...so if not, be aware they "scream" especially when broody. It's really rather unnerving. I say this because my Porcelain is the worst and you may have one. It scares the crap out of you when they first do it. :rolleyes:

Please do not let injured attack victim outside - or her wounds will be subject to "fly strike," which is something she really doesn't need. Chickens generally have great recuperative powers unless they go into shock or wound get infected.:hugs
She was inside. Unfortunately she wouldn't drink or eat and passed away sometime last night. I think she had some damage or trama to her esophagus because I would dip her beak in water and she tried to take a sip, but it would just dribble back out. I can't wait to move and get my chickens away from the neighbors dogs.
