Cyprus, I'm not sure if you have experience with D'Uccles or not...so if not, be aware they "scream" especially when broody. It's really rather unnerving. I say this because my Porcelain is the worst and you may have one. It scares the crap out of you when they first do it.

Please do not let injured attack victim outside - or her wounds will be subject to "fly strike," which is something she really doesn't need. Chickens generally have great recuperative powers unless they go into shock or wound get infected.

She was inside. Unfortunately she wouldn't drink or eat and passed away sometime last night. I think she had some damage or trama to her esophagus because I would dip her beak in water and she tried to take a sip, but it would just dribble back out. I can't wait to move and get my chickens away from the neighbors dogs.
