Hello fowl family,
The bottom pic is one of four chicks we got at about 5 days old. They’re now 7 weeks old. He’s CLEARLY a roo. I legitimately named him Roo at week 2 because it was SO obvious. We had this happen once before, and the Roo was crowing way before this point. However, he’s not making any sounds. He makes the usual chick “buck” “buck” like his siblings, but zero crowing or differently-sounding vocals. Is it possible for a rooster to have like a throat cord disability or something like that? The first picture shows his other 3 siblings next to him for comparison. Thanks, y’all!
