Hello,
My boyfriend came home about a month ago with a 1 week old silkie and a day old bantam silkie. We have 12 chickens but the behavior is so different in these two breeds that I needed to reach out to you guys for some help. First question I have is about the older Silkie (the orange-is colored one in the photo) who is now a little over a month and a half old does this weird head twitching thing and sometimes he/she will back up while doing it. I set up a mirror in their pen just for their entertainment and the older silkie will extend its neck and will do the twitching thing while pecking in a circle at the mirror almost like he's trying to walk through the mirror.

I included photos of them but I couldn't upload a video my phone isn't working properly. I hope you can still help me or offer some advice!

Also I want to include that I put a powdered electrolyte and vitamin supplement in their water brand name/label is "Rooster Booster Vitamins & Electrolytes with Lacto Bacillus" this includes 160 IU Vitamin E, 46,875 IU of Vitamin D, and a few other nutrients. I pointed out the vitamin E and D content because I did a little research and found the symptoms match "wry neck" and the recommended treatment is vitamin E from what I read online.

I also started adding a little apple cider vinegar 'with the mother' in their water. I give them purina brand chick grit 100% crushed granite, and I feed them brand/label name "Purina Start & Grow Non-Medicated". Should I be giving them fresh greens every day as well?

What temperature should they be kept at? I also notice they are always digging in the saw dust and trying to bury themselves in it - should I make them a little house to hide out in or something? I've heard they take special care but I don't know what.
