Wait.. George is out of silkie business!? What. I waited on a list for a year. Then when I contacted he said he didn't have any for sell. Then he ends up selling more to other people later and I'm ticked. But I figured whatever I'll just wait another year again, and he sells them all!? Ahhhh no.

George has never bred his birds for sale--all of his breeding has been for his own exhibition goals. He sells/sold extras that do not meet his goals, or older birds for which he no longer has/had a need. His health has been going down for several years now--he almost died from pneumonia a few years ago.

Aw poor guy. That would be such a hard thing to do. Sell all your birds you've worked so hard improving. He's in my prayers.

One person in S. Louisiana or Alabama bought most of his flock, so they are still intact as a flock for the most part.

He is now going to take some time for himself and his family and do a bit of traveling.

I really didn't mean to upset you!!

I said about a month ago (it was longer than that) but, after looking at my emails it was actually on November 9th when I started talking to George. So, it's been about 2 1/2 months rather than a month. But, he did have birds available at that time. He offered me 2 month old whites, a pair or PI's and a Pair of Whites.

But, regardless I am saddened that he had to sell his birds and isn't feeling well. I wonder if he is still going to continue on with his Construction Business.

He will be in my prayers.

In Missouri look up Gavin Livingston, Clifford Pitts, or Sundy McClung. Not sure how far you are from NE but Barb Aerni and Aaron Stalder have really nice birds. Jenny Linton from Sioux City IA is a master exhibitor. I thought Angie Pearson was from MO too but I don't have contact info for her.

What??? You didnt upset me??? I was just agreeing with you, I talked to him just after he sold out! I dont think he will he has a illness that is really taking a tole on him, hes had it for years! But no Im not upset with and I dont want you to feel like I am, I was just agreeing with you!

Bobbi has some availible I think she told me there was over 300 started sale birds!

and Sunshine Silkies has very nice birds! I would love to help someone out, but I just dont have anything availible right now, I try to wait till the birds are 8+months before I sell anything!
