oh goodness!! I bet the mushy food does get messy!! But she's so darn cute!! And sweet. I'm glad I'm not the only one that babies these sweet chicks. LolI have an OE that is even a bit worse than that. She can only eat mush and she wears more than she eats. She was supposed to be dog food but she has a big personality to match her disability and I just couldn't do it. She follows me everywhere and is completely fearless. I can't be outside without her on my shoulder or following me. She cannot eat anything other than mush because she can't pick anything up - as I suspect will be the case with yours. She scoops the best she can and is usually covered in it. With a silkie that could be even worse, you will be bathing her a lot. Good luck.

Yes, I am aware of that but I would like to earn points toward the master breeder, etc. I was just unsure of which to do, or if they are the same. Just confused that's all. Each organization has its own awards, points, etc. You really don't have to DO anything with any of the clubs if you don't want to.

Your girl has nice partridge coloring.
Here are my newest acquisitions. This pullet is also a blue partridge, and I think she has better pattern than the other pullet I posted? Any comments? I'm working on getting the SOP!
And this boy..... I'm guessing that he is also a blue with red leakage? Or is this just a variation of pattern for a partridge cockerel? He was hatched from a blue partridge egg from CJ's Silkies. Thanks for all of your help!

On the boy, if you look at one of his feathers do they have brown and blue "patterns" across the feathers? That's the most visible differentiates between Partridge and leakage. If he carries the pattern gene it will show in his feathers. If he does not then he is not Partridge... Check his wing feathers, those usually show the pattern best. On this boy you can see brown wing feathers, on the Blue with leakage the wing feathers were blue. Leakage shows up in the hackle, saddle, shoulders and chest over the other color. Because of the brown wing feathers I suspect he is closer to Partridge than Blue.
