I have only treated splay leg once, to tell if it is that or a slipped tendon, it might be best to take a still picture of the legs while standing. Chick vitamins in the water will give a more accurate dose of vitamins. Here is a link for splay leg treatment and a video of perosis or slipped tendon:

The chick stands up perfectly straight now. He had only 2 speeds though. Asleep and running. He doesn't really stand but for a few seconds then either runs or lays down and sleeps.

His curled does are nearing the point of healing. That is all I have treating so far with the boots/restrains.

I haven't seen him eat or drink. I've been giving him water and a 'liquid diet' now that he is past 3 days old. Just vitamins, chick feed, a little bit of yogurt, soaked in hot water, mashed and strained. He eats it. He now just seems like a weak chick.

If anyone has suggestions to perk him up more, please tell me. Did this look like a severe weakness? Deficiency? Something else?

He is going to the bathroom, drinking what I give him and eating what I give him.
