Hi all
I finally did it!! I got some SILKIES!!
I’ve only had them for a few days and they’re still a bit jumpy, so the pics aren’t great. They are about 2 weeks old (my aunt got them when they were a week old and kept them for another week so she could surprise me for my birthday
). I want to know if they are bearded or non-bearded?? Believe me, it makes NO difference to me, I think they are adorable either way, but I think it’s cool to know what to expect.
And also, I’m not sure if they can be sexed this young, but if anyone has a guess at the gender, it’d be much appreciated
Here are the pics!!
Skippy
(she’s the one looking at the camera, couldn’t get too many pics of her
. She’s a white silkie.)
Daphne
(obviously I’m leaning towards bearded for her, but I’ll let the experts decide. She’s a white silkie.)
Lucy
(couldn’t get any good pics of Ethel, but she looks just like Lucy. They’re both supposed to be gray silkies.)
Marian
(Black silkie)
Billy Ray
(Okay, I know it’s a boy name and technically this could be a hen, but I just couldn’t shake the rooster feeling when I saw this chick. And I was really hoping for a Billy Ray Silkie
. He’s supposed to be buff.)
Sorry that it’s so long. Any input is appreciated!! Thanks everyone
