Do you just send the down feathers or did you send in blood samples? With parrots, we usually pluck a good sized feather and squeeze the blood out of the shaft onto a sample strip. Curious to know how to do this with fluffy downy chicks!

They can do either or. I did 5-6 plucked feathers from the chest and that was fine for testing. Or they can do a blood test, usually taken from the toe or foot I believe?

No and no. Simply put. Sorry.
Cost about $15 per chick to get DNA testing. You can use the egg shell and membrane the chick came from if you have it, blood from a toenail or feathers. Have to be at least 4 weeks old for the feathers.

it only cost $22 for me to test them all! I did also pay shipping but that’s only because I didn’t want to wait for their little prepaid kit they send you because I’m impatient haha
