Hi! I have six silkie chicks and they are 4 weeks old. They are still as small as a regular size chicken on day 1 hatching. Is that normal? They have all the food they want at all times and are ket outside when warm enough with chick grit to get any goodies in the grass with food available. I have never owned silkies before so I'm a little lost. I'll try to figure out how to post a video. Also 2 of the six are orange like in color is that a normal color for them?

Yes!!! Two are super small compared to the others of mine also!

In my flock of silkies I had last year (two white, two buff) one of the buffs was the "runt" of the flock and was very small, her name was Short Round. Even as an adult she seemed like the size of a two month-old standard chick. But she was always quite healthy.

Unfortunately I lost her to a dog and sold off the rest of the silkie flock shortly thereafter because I was moving into large breed fowl.

I believe this will be my flock, she has the wing feathers just like her bigger siblings just way smaller.

I have over 20 silkies and they range in size and color. My day old gold sex links, (got yesterday), are almost the same size as my 2 week
old Silkies. Enjoy your babies, they are adorable!!!!!!!!!
