The vet agreed with you on the probiotics, and he also gave them a stronger antibiotic since apparently it was a nasty infection and what I gave them wasn't cutting it.

Why are you giving them antibiotics starting the first few days of live? This is not a good idea.

He didn't say. The antibiotics he gave them are kind of an oily brown color like Coca-Cola... It seems to be helping so far, we shall see...

Not all Vets are equal, so try to make sure he really works with poultry. Proof and history of practice. And not just prescribing medication to get your money. Or it will be your loss.

He breeds purebred chickens and other birds and is a specialist in birds who studied in my country's foremost university, he's the one who sold me my parakeet and I'm in several groups with him where he is continually showing off the chickens he's bred. He's the real deal.
