Silkie chicks

I have some silkie chicks that are almost 3 weeks old and i can’t tell if they are bearded or not, Im not even sure if you can tell at this age, they really don’t have much of puffy head yet and they have some fuzz on their faces like all chicks.

If you post pictures, some people here may be able to tell you.

Chicks with beards usually have faces that look puffier than chicks without beards.

I cant get any recent pics but they are now 7 weeks and they have some fuzz still but not a lot

Then they're probably not bearded.

Dang, they must not be bearded

Bearded chicks will have fluffy cheeks and under the beak. For mine the beard started to feather out (in real feathers, not fluff) around 5 weeks I could see little tiny feathers in the beard.

1st and 2nd photo are non-bearded.
3rd and 4th photo are bearded.

(These are just my own chicks. They're around 4-5 weeks old in the photos).

Pictures of your chicks would help a lot too
