Sorry, I took pics, but they're on my camera at home, and I'm at work. I picked up the only silkie in the bin at TSC yesterday (along w/ way way too many other banties. I couldn't decide, so I got all the ones I liked.

I'll have to post pics later and see if anyone knows what they are. 1 is very very unusual looking, at least to me. Plus 6 EE's and a white gigantic standard chick, I think probably a cochin. I figure half will end up roos that I'll have to get rid of anyway. lol) Anyway, my kids named it Butterscotch (they've just been calling it Butter, and it's already the favorite. lol), b/c it's a very yellow/caramel color, but it has some gray splotches mixed in here and there. Does that sound like Patridge? It's so cute and tiny! The only ones smaller are the chipmunks w/ gray legs that I think are Dutch bantams and a gray one/ gray legs that is probably some type of OEGB.

I'm waiting to see your pics; I have a supposed "buff" silkie that looks way too dark to be buff.

No, not at all. It's a very yellow dark buff with some small light gray splotches here and there. I'll try to post pics tonight.

I am home! It's the weekend! Kids are fed, naking, time to post some pics!

It's so hard to see the gray in these pics. It's very subtle, but definitely there!

Yep, definitely a buff! Thanks! Personally, I think the buff and partridge are the least appealing colors and would love a blue or lavender, but hey, beggars can't be choosers, it was the only silkie in the bin! lol

Yeah.. that is a buff.. I have 1 buff and 1 partridge. Partridges usually have the chipmunk stripes that disappear when they get older! Good luck with your chickes!
