{Silkie Crossbreed Breeding Project Idea}

I was thinking about this the other day. I think I saw something on the MSN longtail group about silkied longtails. I would suggest getting some silkies from a hatchery because most of them are bred for egg production and since they consider anything silkie feathered is a silkie so you could get something like a bad buff rock with silkie feathering.
Another thing you could do is use a silkied serama cock on phoenix hen. The advantage to using a silkied serama would be the clean legs, single comb, and lack of crest. The disadvantages are the size and a short back. This mating would have faster results than using a silkie.

Im hatching out a Silkie X Nankins bantams, I cant wait till see what it turn to.
My hens are a silkies and the roosters are a nankins.
Im getting new Silkie rooster this sunday! I have 1 nankin hen too. i will be seperating them on their own breeds so keep the purebreed.
My crossbred chicks will be a pet and might doing a brooding.

Probably look like smaller production red in terms of feathers and colours but should have black skin and extra toes
