Silkie doesn't seem right!

Several US companies sell the vaccine. It usually comes in a 1000 dose box, and it needs to be used at once within a limited amount of time. Jefferspet.com and randallburkey.com sell it.

Silkie passed away and necropsy confirmed Marek's. I still have one Silkie roo in my basement in the same pen, but not showing signs and older than she was. I also have eggs incubating upstairs. And chicks ordered for spring when it is warmer. I plan to build a nice house outside for them. Is it possible to keep the rest safe from this? I don't have vaccines available here and cannot order in from US. Any advice would be appreciated. Any disinfectant that might work?

You will need to get the chicks vaccinated at the hatchery, and keep them inside far away from where the other chicks have been. Even better, would be to keep them someplace else until they are immune by 2-3 weeks old. The silkie rooster will be a carrier, and the new vaccinated chicks will be carriers of Mareks, but will not get the disease. So sorry for your loss, and I hope your rooster stays healthy.

I'm glad you got a necropsy. I'm sorry to hear it was Marek's, but it is better to know. If your chicks ordered for spring are from a hatchery, then see if you can get them vaccinated at the hatchery.
After doing some internet searching, it does look like you are not the only Canadian who has found it difficult to get the Marek's vaccine. Did you try calling the place that did the necropsy for any information? Maybe there is someone you can contact from this link:
