Can anyone here explain the breeding guidelines to get the silkie feathering in my ducks? I hatched last summer. Call ducks and silkie ducks. Out of the eggs I got one silkie drake and one call hen. I'd like to have more with the silkie feathering. Is there a way to do this with what I have?

Yes. Silkie genes are recessive. So in order to get silkie ducks the offspring need 1 copy of the silkie gene from EACH parent.
You can breed 2 silkies and get 100% silkie.
Silkie to silkie carrier will yield 75% silkie
Silkie carrier to silkie carrier will yield 25% silkie
