Are these two chicks cockerels? I have a feeling that they are but I wanted to confirm that that these chicks are cockerels. They hatched out of my flock eggs this summer.
12 weeks old, dad is a Buff Silkie and mom is a golden bearded Easter Egger.
Lighter / shorter one is named Pierogi and the darker / taller one with more black on tail is named Screech

They’ve both had pretty dark pink on their faces since 5 weeks old.

Screech looks like a cockerel to me, but the other may be a pullet.

You'll know for sure in a couple of weeks if the male specific feathering appears. Right now I am basing my guesses on conformation which is far from the best gender ID.
