HELP!!!!! What should I do???? My broodie kicked an egg out from her this morning. I just found it and thought it must have been bad but I candled it and it has internally pipped!

She kicked it out! It is now in the hatcher and I don't know if it will make it or not.

But should I take the other eggs away? I don't want her to kick them out too. Or should I leave her alone? She is still sitting on 3?

I thought broodies were supposed to be smart?

Thanks!! Can you tell I am panicking??? Sheesh, the egg was cool to the touch. If I hadn't had to go check on my boy to see if he was up for school I might have missed it!

I have my broodie down stairs in the storage room in a huge rubbermaid tote. So I will watch her like a hawk! (After dealing with the hawks this past week, that saying has a whole new meaning for me)

Thank you Cynthia!!!!

Oh Germaine, who would ever think that raising chickens would be such an intense, hair raising, cliff hanging hobby??? Hope everything turns out great, and you remember me too... I'm needing some of these little hairy chickens. Really bad.

Patty - I've got five eggs in the incubator waiting to hatch March 12th. I've ordered boxes to ship live chickens and I'd love to send you some, hopefully soon.
