I hatched 4 chicks from my 5 eggs yesterday. The 5th chick was fully formed, but died and never pipped.

Awwww!!! How sweet is that?!?! A cute little chick playing with a little fuzzy butt!!

Just keep a sharp eye on both. You know how babies love to put things in their mouth!

So what's the total on these chicks now? Somebody please give me a count! I lost track.....not surprising considering that my brain up and left me long ago like a fart in the wind!

Hey... would everyone who has hatched these chicks please flip them over and make notes of skin color on the underside back to the vent? My first chick has dark skin. My second one does not.

I think this baby is going to be tri colored. It seems to have some wheaton colored feathers coming in! The tips of his/her feathers have a cream color to them.

On the pic above you can see the darker skin on the wings, also. I had trimmed the fluff from the vent area of this chick in effort to keep it cleaner from pasting, I noticed its skin is darker than the other one? Much darker. ???
