Silkie Feathered Ameraucanas adventure

Thanks Kathy, I sure hope she hatches them. She hasn't budged off the eggs. I don't know how they are doing because I am just leaving her alone. I have her isolated so the other hens can't bother her either. What a good little broody. And people are right, those broody poops stink!

Germaine,

I'm so glad to hear you are trying to hatch with a broody. I hope she is able to hatch them for you. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks Julie, and I do not want you to feel bad if they don't hatch. It isn't your fault. I knew when I got them they were a tricky chick!

I sure do hope they do though! Keep your toes crossed too!

Julie, I think I have heard that typically these chicks are hatching a day late? Do you know if that is right? I just want to be prepared.

Day (Monday Feb 22nd) 18 update:

As of today (Day 20), some of the other eggs (BCM, Ameraucana, Olive Eggers, etc) have fully hatched, and most of the others have pipped, but so far there has been no action from any of these strange-feathered birds. Fingers (and toes!!) are still fully crossed!!

Nope, just Microsoft Excel. I can send you a copy if you want - PM me your email address.

Happyhensny - I sent you a copy of the weight log, and a copy of the temperature log we've been using. I'd love to see your kid's project!
