Hi!
My family recently got 4 chickens (2 reds and 2 silkies). We got the silkies from a friend who had four and only knew that there were 2 hens and 2 roosters but she wasn't sure which was which so we had to grab 2 and pray to God we grabbed the hens. Up until recently, we were sure they were both hens but the smallest has started growing a larger wattle and now we have no idea. They don't show any behavioral signs of being a rooster and is actually at the bottom of the pecking order and is the timidest out of the 4. we are also aware that one of the silkies has been laying eggs but we don't know which one. So, I was hoping you guys could help me out in identifying its gender before we end up with chicks.
The one on the right is the silkie in question.
