is terrible wondering about the eggs while i'm at work.... I am worried my humidity is too high.... darn thing jumped up to 70 this morning, I opened my vent up as much as I could so hoping it went down to mid 60's again... was wondering why it jumped and was looking for an external pip as that is around the time I heard the chirping too..... who knows, boy a person can second guess themselves all day long with this incubating......

I totally understand and have lived it... you think you should do one thing and then another..

I HAVE SILKIES!!!!

I will have to post some pics this afternoon or tomorrow.... been laid up with a migraine also, so not as exciting a time as it could be...
out of 18 viable eggs into lockdown I have 7 in the brooder, 4 out and fluffing in the incubator now, 1 more that is almost out, and another that just externally pipped. think I saw two others that have little cracks in them, no external pips yet though. today is day 22 so we'll see what happens. they are sooo cute!!! so at least have 12/13 for sure! kids are in heaven....

couple pics.... I have 13 in the brooder now, 1 drying off in incubator, and 4 eggs still... 2 of the eggs were zipping when I left the house.

Great photos. I checked at lunch and I have a little silkie/Frizzle mix rockin. I was so excited. I am going into lockdown tonight. So this little fellow will probably be early.
