Silkie Hatch-A-Long

i'm trying to get silkies but everywhere I go nothing I want pullets so I can have brooders but every where I look its straight run.... can someone help me out on locating some... and good luck to yall on your egg hatching
Where are you located? If you are nearby I always sell my chicks but usually have some left over, I've gotten pretty good at picking out the pullets

My first silkie mix hatched between 9 pm and 3 am. Pretty little black thing.

Rhodebar next to it. First wiggling egg starting to zip. It is taking forever.
Congrats on everyone else's babies. Love seeing the pictures.

I have three silkies that we got last October. One has gone broody and setting on three eggs. I have a roo but don't know if eggs are fertile or not. Has now been on them for four days

Just keep thinking happy thoughts.

A few pictures. Still have several eggs to hatch. Keeping fingers crossed.

aw cute chicks!!

Well just went and candled some eggs.
Broody #1 had 8 eggs and 2 were definitely duds that I took out. 3 looked good and 3 were iffy so I put those 6 back
Broody #2 had 6 eggs. 4 looked good and 2 looked like they were quitters so I put them back and check again in a few days
Broody #3 has 6 eggs that I will candle friday
and I just put 5 eggs under broody #4 today but 1 egg is over 2 weeks old so I'm not hopeful.

But it does make me happy that all eggs did at least start developing so my roosters are doing their jobs. Too bad when I went down there tonight they had obviously gotten in a fight so now both of them are inside in dog kennels until i can figure out something better in the daylight
