anyone out there had any luck with porous eggs hatching?

Our only ones that hatched were the more porous shells. The others got stuck.

I'd be happy to try to hatch porous shell eggs because the chick would be able to escape from the shell.

But we only tried this one time, so I'm not too eggsperienced.

Recandled tonight and the 11 are swimming around in there. Was able to see a tiny foot in one. Removed to other 20 and did not see bullseyes in 17 the other 3 had bullseyes but just did not develop. I'm excited. Another 11 days and hopefully chixks.

I am "officially" part of this Hatch a long finally! Eggs are IN the incubator as of last night! now to be patient until day 7 to candle... It is probably a good thing i'm at work and not home or i'd be checking the temp and rh every hour I think, lol. I was a nut last night. anxious to see what the temp and rh are doing at noon. hopefully what they should be doing!!!!

my temp and rh were right where I wanted them at noon, so far so good..... mine were shipped eggs too, 20 of them.

I'm in Wisconsin and they shipped from Oregon, got here in record time, which was great, and all survived the shipping.

Only a week left until lockdown for me!
Why is it that the closer you get the longer it seems to take!?
After throwing out my quitters last night I now have 13 silkies And 16 quail that are swimming around and growing. I can't wait to see them! =)

10 more days. i was shipped 31 eggs but during a very cold snap and from georgia to michigan. and it my first time incubating so i am more than pleased. the seller did excellant job shipping none broken. incubator keeps temps and humidity wonderful. farmers innovator with fan and turner.

jorey, that is awesome to have 11 moving and shaking! I am hoping for ANY, this being my first hatch also, am just dying for day 7 to come so I can see who's in there and hoping I have some viable!!!

good things come to those who wait right? lol just must remind myself this.... at this point i'll be happy with any!!
