Silkie - is it Blue or Black in Color?

Is this Silkie considered blue or black? It's not nearly as dark as my Australorps, and its feet feathers are decidedly more grayish than the body fluff. What color would you say this chick is?

I think it looks more like a black, but it could be a dark blue. Usually there is a difference in the color of the outer feathers and the underfluff in a blue...like the one below:

Pictures can sometimes be deceiving but it looks dark blue to me.
I breed both and the undercoat should be dark too for a good black. If it isn't it could still be black but just not a good black.
