Yep, I'm lucky in the fact that I have a 'monogamous' pair. The male doesn't over breed the female. They act like an old married couple, he sits with her when she lays her eggs

I meant to grab an egg from my Buff Orpington/Australorp cross hen, but grabbed one from my RIR hen accidentally. She was the result of that accident.
