SILKIE POOPING BLOOD

Yes, treat them all, they have all been exposed. The Corid will not harm them either way.
Make sure you use the 2 tsp per gallon of water, and make fresh daily. Any that look 'off' or are having bloody droppings, give the additional oral dose that I gave you above in addition to the medicated water.

2 teaspoons per gallon of the liquid solution?

She (Coach723) in post 5 said to give 0.1 ml (1/10th ml) per pound once a day. Most silkies weigh 1-2 pounds. You could give 0.1 ml in the morning and another dose in the evening if she is close to 2 pounds. If closer to 1 pound, just give 0.1 ml once a day. kitchen scales are handy for weighing smaller birds. With larger birds you may pick them up and weigh them with yourself, on home scales, then subtract you own weight.

Having fought this myself I hope you catch it in time if it is cocci, am curious to hear how she is doing.

I did the full treatment on my entire flock and there were no signs of blood or sickness in any other chickens. And few days after treatment she was acting normal and the bloody poop was gone. I kept doing the treatment and now shes still completely fine. I think she ate something and it made her bleed a little, i really don't think it was cocci. But like i said, even with my doubts i still treated all of my chickens and all of them are ok and doing fine now!

I'm very glad your bird recovered, and glad you did the entire treatment. I've had birds that turned around quickly after one dose of the medication, and others that took a couple of days to really look better, it just depends on how much damage to the digestive tract was done, and what strain of coccidia it was. I think you did the right thing since if it was coccidia, waiting can be deadly. It is the most common cause of bloody droppings. Regardless of the ultimate cause, I'm very glad she's doing OK now.
